Clubgolf's Member Milestones Achieves

The husband and wife duo of Gary Rebholz and Dehelia Rebholz dominated the competition at this years Montgomery County Golf 2007 Shootout on September 24th. Dehelia, also our club champion, won the women's competition by one stroke, shooting 87. Her husband Gary tied for second in the men's competition by shooting 80. Congratulations to you both on the exciting performances. Gary and Delehia continue to be two of Clubgolf's hardest workers, attending classes daily and practicing often.

Club Champion Zach Barrier continues to make news. During the Golf Styles Players Series at Old Hickory Golf Club, Zach took first place in the gross tournament, shooting a 74 after being 4 over after 4 holes. Then he rattled off 3 birdies in a row. Even more impressive is that Zach joined Clubgolf last fall as a 14 handicap and he is now a 3 handicap. Congrats on the win and lowering you handicap by over 10 strokes.

Bella Barrientos recently had her career low round. She fired up a 48 at Laytonsville Golf Course, and broke 50 for the first time. Keep up the low scores.

Doug Smith, a member for over two years has been shooting the lights out recently. His last five rounds have been in the 70's including a 75 at Honey Run Golf Course in York, PA. During his last round at Patuxent Greens he birdied the last hole to shot 79 and keep his string of rounds in the 70's going. Keep burning it up Doug.

Clubgolf's Club Champion Zach Barrier recorded his first hole-in-one on August 10th at P.B. Dye Golf Club. He hit a 9 iron from 145yds. on the diabolical 2nd hole. Its no easy hole either, it surrounded by trouble and railroad ties. Congrats on your first ace Zach.

Membership Director at Clubgolf, Corrie Tayman, won the Maryland State Golf Association Amateur Championship last week. She defeated her opponent in the final by a margin of 3&2. Congratulations on the huge win and good luck with the rest of the season.

Congratulations to Clubgolf member Luke O'Boyle. Luke made a hole-in-one on Monday, August 6th at Chevy Chase Club. Luke drained a 7 iron from 155 yards on the 15th hole. Congrats on the hole in one Luke, keep up the good work.

Clubgolf Owner, Max Shevitz recorded his career low round of 79 recently. Breaking 80 is quite an accomplishment and as everyone knows, Max exercises as hard as anyone at Clubgolf, and proves that golf fitness DOES lower scores. Congratulations Max!

Amy Henchey a member since 2005 recorded a hole-in-one at Northwest Park Golf Course. Amy hit a 3 wood, from 97 yards to make the ace. Congratulations!!!

Longtime member of Clubgolf, Manny Hahn recorded a hole-in-one on Saturday, June 9th at PB Dye Golf Club. He was playing in a shotgun start tournament and started on the 160 yard Par-3 8th. On his first swing of the day he recorded a hole-in-one. Congratulations Manny, 2 under after 1 hole is not easy. Keep up the good work.

Rick Hamilton , a member since January 2007, recently recorded his career low round of 90. Great work.

Marcus McConnell won a second Golf Channel Amateur Tour event. His second win of the season came at Canon Ridge Golf Course. He shot an 85 to win the tournament outright. Congratulations Marcus on the win.

Mike Korotinsky started playing golf less than 2 years ago. During his most recent outing to Blue Mash Golf Course he shot a 42 on the front nine. Congratulations Mike on the nice round.

Taylor Chamberlain won the Ferrum College Invitational. Congratulations Taylor on your win.

Michael Graves shot a career low 84 at Twin Lakes last weekend breaking his previous low round by 5 shots. Congratulations Michael.
Frances Compton, a member since 2005 has just recorded two milestones. The first is that she has dropped her handicap from 20 down to 14. The other is that she won the Senior Women's Summer Match Play Championship. Congratulations Frances on those two major accomplishments.
Scott Gallacher recorded a hole-in-one on January 6th at Broad Bay Country Club in Virginia Beach. He holed a 5 iron from 152 yards on the fifth hole. Congratulations Scott, what a way to kick off the new year.
Clubgolf member Todd Smith carded a hole in one at Maryland National in an NIHGA Match Play Event. Todd holed an 8 iron from 153 yards. Amazing, keep up the good shots.
Sean Boyle a Clubgolf Member for almost one year, won the Gross Championship for the Golf Styles Lincoln Players Series in 2007. This is series of events and in order to be gross champion you need to be competitive for a series of rounds. Congrats Sean, keep up the good work and good luck next year.
Carl Stevenson a member of Clubgolf for almost one year, started as a 27 handicap. He is now down to a 20 handicap. In one of his most recent rounds at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, DE he shot a 91 on the Nemours Course. He even carded a birdie! Congratulations Carl and keep up the hard work.
Bob King a member of Clubgolf for several years, has just made a breakthrough. His handicap has gone from 22.5 to 16.5 in just over 3 months. He credits his rapid improvement to a few lessons with Clubgolf Instructor Brendon Post, PGA.
